Peter Massey started his career at the Hamden, CT Department of Police Services rising to the rank of Detective. During his career, he was assigned to the Patrol, Detective and Identification Divisions where he earned four Letters of Recognition, eight Certificates of Commendation and two Unit Citations. He retired in July 2003 after more than twenty years to become the Training Coordinator for the National Crime Scene Training and Technology Center at the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science. During his tenure as Training Coordinator, he was responsible for offering hundreds of advanced training courses to the law enforcement community. Over his seventeen years at the University of New Haven he has taught a multitude of courses in Forensic Science and Criminal Justice and is currently a Lecturer and program coordinator for the Forensic Studies and Justice program, at the University of South Florida. Peter received his MS degree from the University of New Haven in Forensic Science-Criminalistics and is currently working toward his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice-Investigative Sciences
