Please be advised that our trainers are CT POST certified, and our courses will result in credits to be used toward your CT POST recertification if you are an active, sworn police officer. This means you must be “sponsored” by a police agency. If you are not currently “employed” or “sponsored” by a police agency, you may not be eligible to receive credits pursuant to the regulations of the Connecticut Police Academy. Please refer to POSTC-50 RTC: “This form must be signed by both the officer receiving training and the Agency’s training officer.”
Non-sworn individuals may enter our courses at the discretion of the sponsoring agency and the Board but will be issued a certificate of completion and not a POSTC-50 RTC.
